Project Description

City Point Partners is providing cost estimating and developing Contractors Time Determination (CTD) schedules for two RIDOT bridge projects.

The I-95 Wood River Valley bridge improvement project in Hopkinton, RI is being constructed using the design-build project delivery method. The bridge supports both northbound and southbound traffic as it crosses over the Wood River.

The Farnum Pike bridges in North Smithfield, RI have been declared structurally deficient and must be completely replaced. These bridges carry State Highway 146 northbound and southbound over the Farnum Pike.

Project Description

The City of Lowell is in the process of rehabilitating it’s canal bridges, some of which are historic and in proximity to downtown Lowell. Currently, weight restrictions have been imposed on some of these bridges, hindering vehicular traffic and slowing economic opportunity. Under this contract, 6 bridges have been identified for repair and/or replacement. City Point Partners is developing full bottom up cost estimates as well as Contractor’s Time Determination (CTD) schedules.

The City of Newton has designated a 2-acre parcel containing a Parks and Recreation Department maintenance building and a playground with limited public access, as surplus property within an existing residential community and cleared the way for this housing development. City Point Partners is the Owners Project Manager for this project which consists of 8 units of rental housing, no fewer than 4 of which must be affordable, and the expansion and redevelopment of the existing Reverend Ford Playground.  This project is unique for the State of Massachusetts as it features a municipality acting as its own developer of affordable housing.

Project Description

The implementation of a Positive Train Control system is designed to prevent train-to-train collisions, over-speed derailments, train movements into established work zone limits, and movement of trains through track switches that may have been left in the incorrect position. The PTC Implementation Plan provides for the installation of hardware on all commuter rail lines by the end of 2018 with full implementation by 2020.  City Point Partners is coordinating the public information program which includes many weekend commuter rail service shutdowns and implementation of alternative busing service. We are also providing updates and tracking of contractor payments and schedules as well as a number of other project controls directives.

Project Description

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is changing its toll plazas on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to an All Electronic Tolling System (AETS) to eliminate delays associated with tolling; improve the efficiency of tolling maintenance and operations; and generally improve safety at the toll plazas. City Point Partners is performing the cost estimating and scheduling for the demolition and realignment of all 21 toll plaza locations on I-90. This very complex project will involve four districts of MassDOT, and engage four separate contractors to complete construction.
