Effective project management is essential to the success of any project.  Retaining an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) early in the life of a project can add the depth, value, and proficiency necessary to effectively achieve each project milestone from planning to completion. The OPM is essentially a hands-on consultant providing the eyes and ears for the owner to understand how the project is progressing and if there is a potential for problems to occur.  Early identification of project issues is critical to be able to facilitate a timely resolution without adversely impacting the overall project schedule or budget.

Once construction begins, it’s critical that the owner have on-site representation who is looking closely at the project schedule, monitoring construction costs, managing the procurement of any contractors, ensuring that construction is adhering to the design and construction contracts are executed properly. Also key is having a robust document control process and team that is vital to the smooth operation of any complex construction project. We implement document management software systems, training project staff on their use, and develop quality control/quality assurance procedures so that all project team members know how to manage and share documents.
